For the 18th Consecutive Year..Zain Jordan Renews Its Support for the National Remote Water Quality Monitoring Project

 As part of its long-standing partnership with the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) for 18 years, Zain Jordan has renewed its support for the National Remote Water Quality Monitoring project for an additional two years. The project has been implemented by the RSS on behalf of the Higher Council for Science and Technology since 2003.

 
This renewal reflects Zain Jordan’s commitment to preserving the Kingdom’s water resources to ensure their sustainability for future generations. By harnessing technology to enhance the efficient and responsible management of this vital resource, the company reaffirms its dedication to environmental protection. The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 6 Clean Water and Sanitation, and Goal 17 Partnerships for the Goals, which Zain integrates across all its sustainability programs and initiatives.
 
Zain Jordan will continue to provide data transmission services and "Real Static IP” connectivity to 13 field monitoring stations located across key surface water sources in Jordan, including the Yarmouk River, Jordan River, King Abdullah Canal, Zarqa River, as well as the inlet and outlet of King Talal Dam and Kafranja Dam. These services enable real-time monitoring of water quality through automated systems that continuously collect samples, perform physical and chemical analyses, and transmit the results instantly to a central database. The data supports decision-making and helps relevant authorities monitor water quality with high precision and efficiency.
 
It is worth noting that since 2010, the project has been internationally accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) in accordance with the international laboratory accreditation standard ISO 17025. This represents the world’s first accreditation of its kind for such a project. The National Project for Remote Water Quality Monitoring is considered one of the key national initiatives supporting the efforts of the Ministries of Environment, Health, Water and Irrigation, and Agriculture, as well as Miyahuna Company, under the supervision of
