As part of its strategy to support digital transformation and strengthen the Kingdom’s fintech infrastructure, Zain Cash has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Clinica, the leading digital platform for managing private clinics and medical centers, to provide customized digital financial solutions for doctors within Clinica’s network.
This partnership aligns with Zain Cash’s efforts to expand digital financial solutions across vital sectors, particularly the healthcare sector, enabling more efficient financial transactions while enhancing transparency, flexibility, and seamless financial management processes. The agreement also contributes to positioning Jordan as a regional hub for fintech innovation, reflecting Zain Cash’s commitment to integrating financial technology solutions across industries and supporting digital transformation in the medical sector through a comprehensive digital financial ecosystem that enhances operational efficiency, simplifies procedures, and unlocks new opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
Commenting on the agreement, Zain Cash CEO Sultan Kashoureh said:
"Our partnership with Clinica reinforces the pivotal role Zain Cash plays as the most widely adopted e-wallet in Jordan in developing the digital financial infrastructure across key sectors, particularly healthcare. Zain Cash is committed to delivering advanced financial solutions that meet the needs of individuals and businesses alike, facilitating transactions and reducing reliance on cash. Today, digital financial innovation has become a key driver of national digital economic growth and an opportunity to further establish Jordan as a regional fintech leader.”
For his part, Clinica CEO Qais Al Shahed stated that this agreement reflects Clinica’s ongoing commitment to providing its subscribers with best-in-class value-added services that complement digital healthcare solutions. He highlighted that Clinica has maintained its position as the leading platform serving medical clinics for over 12 years, including offering advanced digital financial services through its partnership with Zain Cash.
Under the agreement, the instant payment system CliQ will be integrated into Clinica’s platform to facilitate payment processes and improve financial collections. The partnership will also introduce digital corporate accounts and corporate Mastercard cards issued by Mastercard through Zain Cash, enhancing efficiency in managing daily financial operations while ensuring the highest levels of transparency and automation.
Additionally, Zain Cash will provide doctors within Clinica’s network with tailored digital credit solutions designed specifically for their professional needs. These include pre-approved credit cards with limits of up to JOD 5,000 without requiring salary certificates or social security statements, relying instead on doctors verified professional identity through Clinica’s platform. This innovative model addresses one of the key challenges doctors faces in accessing traditional credit facilities while providing greater financial flexibility to support operational expenses and business development.
The collaboration also includes joint awareness and digital marketing initiatives to promote modern financial solutions, encouraging digital payment adoption within the healthcare sector, strengthening the value proposition Clinica provides to its network of doctors, and supporting national objectives related to digital transformation and financial inclusion.
Since its launch in 2011, Zain Cash has become a key player in Jordan’s digital financial services and prepaid card sector and is the largest Mastercard card issuer in the Kingdom. Zain Cash offers a wide range of digital financial services, enabling users to perform financial transactions such as cash withdrawals and deposits, payments across various retail outlets and restaurants, as well as local and international online shopping using the Zain Cash Mastercard issued instantly upon wallet activation. The company also offers Sharia-compliant credit cards across three categories — Classic, Platinum, and World — with no interest or fees, providing users with enhanced financial benefits and comprehensive financing solutions. These credit cards are issued in collaboration with Mastercard with limits ranging from JOD 100 to JOD 5,000, without salary transfer requirements or issuance fees.
